Frequently Asked Questions
Is this suitable if I have zero singing experience?
Absolutely! This workshop is designed for beginners and casual singers. You don’t need any background to join — we’ll guide you step by step in a relaxed, supportive way.
What if I think I’m tone-deaf or can’t sing well?
Most people who think they’re “tone-deaf” are not — they just haven’t had the chance to learn. We’ll help you match pitch and sing more confidently, no pressure or judgment.
Do I have to sing solo in front of others?
Nope! Most activities are done in groups. The mini performance is a team effort, so you’ll never be left to sing alone unless you want to.
Will I be grouped with people at a similar level?
Yes. We’ll group participants according to experience and comfort level, so you’ll be with others who are just starting out or still learning.
Do I need to prepare or choose a song before coming?
No preparation is needed. However, if you already have a song you love and would like to suggest it to your group, feel free to bring the idea along! It’s completely optional.
Can I join if I’m shy or not confident about my voice?
Definitely. Many participants feel the same way at first — that’s why this is a group-based, low-pressure workshop. You’ll ease into things comfortably.
Will there be guidance on harmonies, or do we figure it out ourselves?
You’ll be guided! Our instructors will teach you simple harmonies and show you how to blend with others even if you're new to it.
Is this more like a class or a fun jam session?
It’s a mix of both — you’ll learn useful techniques, but the environment is casual, interactive, and focused on singing together rather than being formal or strict.
Do I need to read music or know music theory?
Not at all. Everything is taught through listening, demonstration, and simple practice. No theory knowledge is required.
Can I come alone, or do I need to sign up with friends?
You’re welcome to come solo! Many participants do, and we’ll match you into a group. Of course, friends are welcome too.
Will there be a performance at the end, and is it optional?
Yes, there’s a casual mini group performance at the end — but it’s done as a team and meant to be fun, not scary. If you’re really uncomfortable, you can participate in a lighter role.
What if I can’t hit high notes or don’t know my vocal range?
No worries — we’ll help you find a comfortable part to sing. You won’t be pushed to strain or sing outside your range.
Is this for adults only, or are teens/youths welcome too?
We welcome adults and older teens. If you're unsure about age suitability, just check in with us and we’ll advise based on the group.
What happens after the workshop if I want to continue singing?
Great! You can join group classes, ensemble sessions, or private coaching after this. We’ll share follow-up options if you’d like to keep going.
